What if the health services we use were designed around our actual needs? Around our bodies. Our choices. Our questions. Our fears and our realities.
Beyond the PUSH brings together midwives, women, advocates and experts for honest conversations about what good care really looks like, why so many women and gender diverse people still struggle to access it, and what needs to change.
From birth choices and obstetric violence to reproductive choice, infertility and loss, breastfeeding, LGBTQI+ care, inequality, climate and crisis, the series goes beyond birth to explore the experiences that shape our health and lives.
Beyond the PUSH is created by the International Confederation of Midwives’ PUSH Campaign and birthFUND.
What does good healthcare actually look and feel like? Midwives, advocates and women explore respectful, person-centred care and how listeners can recognise, expect and ask for the care they deserve.
Host: Kate Stringer + Post-episode debrief by Kimberly Durdin

Sheena Byrom — Midwife, Author and Director of All4Maternity
Martha Abornyementy — Midwife and Founder of the For Mom and Baby Foundation
